Born and raised in Northern California, Christopher has called the Pacific Northwest and the Intermountain West home for the past 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and works full-time as a Firefighter. Dirt & Grain is an extension of his passion for both low resolution digital and film photography. His visuals are often inspired by a pushed high-speed film aesthetic. Exploring new styles and genres are paramount to his creative nature. He believes his broader journey in photography is no different than in his personal life: maintaining kindness, practicing intellectual curiosity and encouraging a collaboration over competition attitude. Christopher personally enjoys experiencing the world on mountain bikes, surfboards, skis and in trail shoes. It’s no coincidence that his artwork reflects a lifestyle rooted in the dirt.
